One should also avoid tea and coffee as these contain caffeine which is known to affect inflammation adversely. Salty foods should also be avoided. One may reduce one’s salt intake to a moderate level. Although there are no quick cures for rheumatoid arthritis there are a number of natural remedies for rheumatoid arthritis that can help considerably.

Other foods that are recommended for rheumatoid arthritis swelling include fresh vegetables and fruits. These foods are naturally nourishing and they contain plenty of vitamins and minerals that aid general health. These foods are also easily digested and contain plenty of fiber, all of which helps to improve the efficiency of the various body functions. One may also follow a diet for rheumatoid arthritis which helps with weight loss so that the joints are under less pressure. This may help to slow the process of joint degradation and is useful to assist with other treatment for rheumatoid arthritis.
