Cramps are experienced by each and every person at some point or the other and commonly occur in the hands,
legs and back. The primary reason for getting these cramps include, excessive strain of the muscles, an injury, no physical activity for a long period of time or simply sitting in one position for way too long without any movement. In such cases, the muscles contract which in turn cause a lot of pain and difficulty in moving.
However, there are a number of

Cramps are most of the times a result of a deficiency in calcium and therefore, you should eat a lot of calcium rich food. Foods that are rich in calcium consist of low fat dairy products such as skim milk, cheese and yogurt. In case you want to start taking calcium supplements, consult a doctor before you begin doing the same. A lack of potassium is also said to be the cause for cramps and thus, you should eat food that contains high amounts of potassium such as bananas, potatoes, beet greens, dried peaches, prune juice and so on. Staying active is a good way to stay away from hand cramps and it is very important that you drink a lot of water at the same time as dehydration is a cause for getting cramps. Having chamomile tea is also very beneficial in

Vitamin D deficiency could also lead to recurrent hand cramps and therefore, you should eat foods that are rich sources of it.
