Hair Growth Home Remedy

by Sharon Hopkins
Before undertaking any hair growth home remedy one should take all the necessary preventative steps to ensure that hair fall is not experienced for trivial reasons which can be avoided. One of the main reasons for hair loss is using a fine toothed plastic comb that tends to further entangle the hair causing breakage and strand damage. Instead one should use wooden combs as far as possible as this will also help in reducing static.

A hair growth home remedy is to mix together equal portions of coconut oil, olive oil and almond oil. This mixture should then be warmed and applied gently into the scalp. Following this, wrap the hair with a cotton cloth, as this will ensure that more oil is absorbed by the hair and the scalp.

Another hair growth home remedy is to massage plenty of onion juice into the hair once a week. Allow it to remain in the hair for at least two to four hours before rinsing it off with some warm water. Hair tonics are also effective hair growth home remedies. One such tonic is to boil some amla or Indian gooseberry juice in some coconut oil and then allow this oil to cool before massaging it into the scalp. Similarly, another commonly used and effective hair growth home remedy is to mix together fresh lemon juice and some Indian gooseberry or amla juice and then apply this mixture onto the hair and scalp. Keep this on for sometime and then it off with some mild shampoo. Hair growth home remedies also emphasize on the need to improve the overall health of the body to provide an environment that is conducive to hair growth. In order to do so one should consume plenty of vegetables juices or green leafy vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage and spinach juice. These products provide the body with the essential vitamins and nutrients required for hair growth and also boost the immune system of the body. Another effective hair growth home remedy is to grind together equal proportions of black pepper and lime seeds as then apply this paste thinly on the scalp on a daily basis. This paste should be allowed to remain on the scalp or at least 10 minutes and then should be rinsed off with some warm water and a mild shampoo while taking care that the mixture does not enter into the eyes.
