Treat Angina
It is a fallacy that only men are prone to chest pain. Even women are equally vulnerable to this dreadful health hazard thanks to our lifestyle and the increased stress level in our lives with each passing day. Angina is one such condition where chest pain occurs in women due to the lack of adequate oxygen supply.
When a muscle in your heart does not get the amount of oxygen supply it is supposed to get, it results in angina. Angina in itself is not a disease but is a sign of an underlying heart problem.
Causes of Angina
When excess fat or plaque builds up in the arteries of your heart, the arteries get narrowed and the oxygen supply gets interrupted.
As a result, the heart does not get the required amount of oxygen it is supposed to get. Consequently, a coronary heart disease is what you end up with.
There are different types of angina. There are stable, unstable, variant, and microvascular. Knowing the type of angina is important as the treatment for angina differs accordingly. All of these different types of angina also have different symptoms as well.
Treatment for Angina
- Stable angina is the most common type of angina and has a regular pattern. Hence, it is easier to cure angina of this type. If you suffer from this type of angina then you need to take ample rest and make sure that you have your medicines on time.
- Unstable angina does not have a common pattern that can be followed. Hence, if you are suffering from this type of angina then make sure you alert your doctor soon else it could result in a heart attack. For this type of angina rest and medicine may not help.
- Variant angina is rare and usually occurs when you are resting. The pain in this case can be severe. Medicines could be taken to help you relieve this pain.
- Microvascular angina is the most severe type and can last for a longer duration than the others. Medicines, in this case, may not help. Hence, it is important to notify the doctor the moment you suspect that you are suffering from this condition.
Angina Remedies
Although medicines may help you prevent this condition in most cases, the more important aspect that you need to pay attention to is to your lifestyle. Alter your diet and lifestyle patterns to prevent further complications.
